What I have learned during the Graph Curated Program?

The Graph is an open source project that should and will contribute to the growth of the network. However, this caused a problem as not all data is accurate and reliable, and blockchain developers may receive negative APIs by mistake. For this reason, the curator is responsible for collecting and filtering quality data.

In other words, curators play the same key role as indexers in a protocol. The author of this article has the opportunity to start his curator role by participating in the Curator Program hosted by Graph and has the opportunity to contribute to Everest, a decentralized project ledger built with Subgraph, IPFS and 3Box on Ethereum. There is no fixed way to define or launch a curator, and the great thing about this curator role is that you don’t need to have technical knowledge, and anyone from developers to community members can be Graph curators.

During the curatorial program, the curators evaluated subgraphs, wrote guides and tutorials, and created subgraphs. Also, many curators actively helped the community in discord, telegram, etc.

The subgraph I created looks like this https://thegraph.com/explorer/subgraph/pmalykh/spankchain-subgraph

Thanks to the community, many non-technical curators have learned how to evaluate and create subgraphs. Many have studied and understood the principle of the Semantic Web and how and for what The Graph was created.

Thanks to everyone involved in the curated program and the Graph project!

Let’s build Web3 together, join us!
